So much commitment...so much talent...

For the last month, you have all been nothing short of fantastic. Each and every one of you have given everything you have to the moment. These moments are what make up what we all know and love about improv. It is very clear that GSS Improv has many more of these moments to come, this year and in the years to come. The journey has only just begun ...

Beginning Mon. Oct 25 our journey will look like this:
Mondays - 3:20-4:20 Everyone for a full hour of improv fun. Development practice will be every Thursday at Jr lunch; Competitive practices will be after school, Wed and Thurs times to be determined.
Stay tuned...there's always more.

COMING TO TOWN...NOT THE CIRCUS BUT THE CIG - TRI-CITY!!

Yes, you've heard right. Grimsby will be playing host to an All Teams Training session, this coming Saturday - Oct 23rd - 1-4pm. It is sure to be an afternoon of awesome improvness, lead fearlessly by our friends from Tri-City. Both our Development and Competitive teams will be there, soaking in all that is improv. Other Tri-City teams will also join us, including many from right here in Niagara. Let the games begin!

FIT...not as in fitness

As you know, we usually begin the year with just this... a blank stage and a few boxes (ignore the heads, they aren't there;). However, this year we find ourselves in a most extraordinary situation. After saying goodbye to a somewhat permanent figure with Grimsby Improv, we looked around and discovered (OK we knew, but go with me here) that the stage wasn't so empty. In fact, 7 pretty awesome improvisors had found their way back to our stage, silently taken the oath, and committed themselves for another year of this crazy thing we call Improv.
Enter stage left: a whole lot of fantastic talent, some new and some back at it from last year, arrived at auditions. Ali Baba, Strangers on a Train, Time Warp and publically owning mistakes has only made them all stronger.
Enter stage right: FIT. Fit has little to do with skill and talent and everything to do with how bodies, talents, and energies mix together on the stage. This is the most difficult and, for us, the most important part of building a strong improv team.
Spot light, down stage centre: The following are asked to attend, in 8s, the next series of team rehearsals: Brittany, Spencer, Dan, Jacob, Hayley, Quinn, Kenny, Sydney, Alex, Mitch, Sam, Hannah, Moira, and Maddy. This will be an opportunity to test "fit". Check the board outside of the aud for a schedule of who is to attend when. Development rehearsals begin this Thurs at JR lunch in Studio 2. Hope to see the following bodies, minds, and spirits there: Alex, Mitch, Raven, Genevieve, Sam, Hannah, Brittany, Moira, and Maddy.
A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS GIVEN SO MUCH OVER THE LAST FEW WEEKS. A GREAT SEASON AWAITS US!!
